Identity verification — where exactly it is written down

The promise of “no verification” is almost never a lie and almost never a commitment. Terms leave themselves room to ask for a document — they differ only in how tightly they hem that room in.

01

Three levels of wording

From the strongest to the weakest
  1. A threshold given as an amount. “From €2,500 or the equivalent in crypto” — the wording of the one entry in this register that puts it that way. A commitment that can be checked and held to. The rarest.
  2. A moment stated outright. “Before the first withdrawal”, “before the first bet”. No amount, but a moment.
  3. Discretion. “When the operator considers it necessary.” The commonest, and in practice it limits nothing.

Clauses read across the register

The last column is the one that matters: a figure inside a clause turns a statement into a commitment.

Where a document turns up on the whole road

Two places, both outside the casino

The casino cashier converts nothing — it takes whatever arrives.
Four stops between a złoty account and a balance in the cashier. A złoty does not enter the cashier directly: it changes hands at an exchange and only then moves on. The amount shrinks in two places — the rate and the network fee — and nowhere else.

The first request for a document comes from the exchange — that is, before a player has touched the casino. The second can come from the cashier at withdrawal. The idea that crypto means “no documents” breaks on the first of the two.

How to be ready

Five minutes once, instead of an hour under pressure
  • A document scanned in colour, with all four corners visible and the details legible.
  • The name on the cashier account matching the name on the document — a mismatch is the commonest reason for rejection.
  • The exchange account verified before a win lands on it.
  • Transaction identifiers kept: they are the only proof a transfer went out.

Common questions

What people actually type
Does a bitcoin casino without verification exist?
There are cashiers that ask for no document when an account is opened. Almost all of them leave themselves the option at withdrawal. What separates them is how tightly the terms hem that option in — and that is the only thing about verification this register measures.
Is verification done once?
Usually yes on the exchange's side. On the cashier's side it is sometimes repeated when the withdrawal method changes or when the amount is larger.
